Birthday Haul!

It was my birthday on the weekend, Easter Sunday to be exact and here is a haul on the presents I got from my family and friends!!

These boots are a present from my parents, as most of these presents are and they are black ankle boots from Myer and the brand is called Hush Puppies.

Another girf from my parents was this white Fiorelli watch. I did need a watch that was just small and simple for work and I do have another gold watch which is rather bigger, this one was a nice surprise!

From my mum I also got this blue jumper and skinny jeans because I did go shopping with her to pick a few things out as she didn't know what to get me.

My sister got me this striped jumper and sunnies from Factorie because I lost my old ones when I was on the boat last week and needed new ones. She had come shopping me and my mother and I had picked those out and she went to the shops the next day and bought them.

Although it may seem sad, I bought myself this long sleeve shirt from Dolly Girl and the back is a sort of see through material and it was on sale and I needed a new shirt to go out with.

Finally my boyfriend got me this heart necklace from Bevilles and Chanel earrings and that was really sweet of him.

I hope you guys all had a lovely Easter and will talk to you soon

Thoughts...

At first not everything in life is clear, sometimes it's blurry, maybe even so blurry you can see the outlines. But for most things eventually the focus returns, sometimes slowly and sometimes so quickly it hits you hard, sometimes so hard that as soon as it comes into focus, everything goes blurry again.
~
Different people see different things. No one is the same, everyone is different. How we interpret things is different and how we appreciate things is different. What people see can change completely and what we see depends on what we look for.
Hope. To be able to always look towards the positive side of things and hope for the best outcome. It's what gets us through the tough challenges and it isn't physical but can be taken away from you in a split second. No matter what happens, what the outcome of the situation is, you can never let someone take hope away from you because without it, there's nothing left to hold on to.

Hello everyone!!! I haven't been on her for quite a long time, almost 3 weeks! I'm really sorry!! I would really like  to apologise for not posting lately because I was away for a while and  I had a few family dramas that stopped me from posting. Again I am really sorry and I hope you can all forgive me.

Visits to ... Maianbar!!!

Another series that I am starting today!! VISITS TO...

On Tuesday I visited Maianbar as my aunty has a house down there and invited me and my sisters over for lunch. Maianbar is in the National Park, only around 45 minutes away from where I live and is quite close to Bundeena.

After Lunch, my sister and I went to the beach that is about a 15 minute walk from my aunty's house, along the sand. We walked past a few properties before we the beach!

We went for a swim and kept going a bit further up to Bundeena!

On a further note, I am going on a rowing camp for a few days and won't return or have internet access until Tuesday next week so I apologise if I don't update in the next few days and that I have missed this weeks "What I Ate Wednesday".

What I Ate Wednesday

This morning I had rowing training quite early in the morning so I decided that an Up and Go and a banana would give me enough energy without making me want to be sick whilst training.

I had a light lunch after training which was just simply rice, tuna and garlic and although it didn't sound or look that appetising, was actually really nice! Plus it was simple and easy to make.

I also had an early dinner which was leftover tuna rissoles with a salad to finish it off. I have noticed recently that i do eat a lot of salads, almost everyday so you might be seeing a lot of it!

I watched a movie with my sister after dinner and snacked on a few chocolates!!!
(And yes i did put it on a plate just so I could take a photo of it!!)

Thanks guys, sorry it wasn't uploaded this morning however I did have training!!

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!!! In an extremely late blog post (I am really sorry I have just been really caught up) here is how I celebrated New Year's Eve!!!

Myself, my family and another close family of ours decided that this year it would be nice to watch the fireworks from the city and stay there that night to save driving home. We had a really nice time and got a good seat at around 7 before a few of us got pizza and brought it back for all of us to eat. We sat and talked and relaxed for a few hours before watching the 9:00pm fireworks, the firework display at 10:30pm and finally the fireworks at midnight!!!

It was a really great experience as normally we are away so it was the first time that we had been!!! I am really sorry again for my lack of posts but hopefully from now on they will be more regular

What I Ate Wednesday!

Hey guys! I thought I would try out this new "series" where every Wednesday and I think you guys can guess what I will be posting about so here goes...

This morning I had pancakes which is quite a treat because I do not normally eat them but they were super yummy!

For Lunch I made my sister and I a greek salad with balsamic vinegar dressing because we had a lazy day so I thought it would be nice to have something healthy!

For a snack I just had a bowl of watermelon which I cut up so I didn't get juice everywhere and because there was quite a lot, I ate the rest for dessert.

For dinner, I made myself some tuna pasta which I make often just because it is so easy and quick and tastes really good! Today though I used gluten-free pasta which was all we had in the cupboard and topped it with some parmesan!

I would just like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!! I'm sorry that i haven't posted for a while but I have been away and got back yesterday so I apologise. I will upload photos from New Year's Eve tomorrow!!!

Off to the Zoo...

Today, my dad had to work at the zoo for a few hours early this morning so I went with him to help him. After everything that needed to be done was done, we had an hour to walk around the zoo before everyone arrived!

The elephant in the picture above would have to be the cutest animals I saw. He was one of the baby's (in saying that though, he was born in 2010) and he was absolutely adorable! Even though I know that he is only eating, in this picture he looked so happy!

I know I took so many photos of the elephants but I mean, look how cute they are! That elephant in the background of the photo above was trying so hard to get food out of that blue bucket!

The giraffes were also one of the highlights as I got to feed this big one in the second photo. The first photo of the giraffes I also thought was really cute because they looked like a little family and the last photo I just thought was cool with the city in the background.

The first chimpanzee was actually hilarious to watch because it took a while to find what it thought was good position to sleep in and tried out quite a few before finally deciding on the one in the pictures but the second chimpanzee looked really lonely and sad and we thought it might have been the older male?

This bear looks really weird in this picture but it was trying really hard to get all of the food out of the container which was also really funny to watch!

These lions weren't really interesting because they were sleeping but I thought they looked pretty cute. These are two females and the male in the middle is facing the other way and you can see a little bit of his many if you look really closely.

These mountain goats looked like they thought they were kings which I thought was   pretty funny!

Now this snow leopard was one of the two at the zoo but the other one wasn't in a position I could get a photo of so I had to attempt to get a photo of this one which was extremely difficult. It was pacing back and forth rather quickly and it kept geeing behind trees and rocks and every time it got into view  it would move again. So I apologise for the not so good quality of this photo!

The red panda enclosure was right near where my dad was working so it was one of the first animals I saw and because we were there so early it also meant that we were able to watch while it good fed for the morning before everyone arrived and was very cute as they both scurried down the trees as soon as the food was laid down!

I'd just like to tell you that it is not a whale in the photo above like a lot of people thought when they saw this photo but a leopard seal which is one of the enclosures my dad has fixed up!

Also the penguins in the first photo were really cute because they were chasing each other and it seemed that they were playing tag! Also I am sorry for the people in the reflection of the glass, by the time we saw the penguins, the zoo had officially opened but we were lucky because it was one of the last animals we saw!

And last but not least is the views from the zoo which were breathtaking!

I hope you enjoyed the photos and I'm sorry to those who don't like long blogs but I couldn't resist!!!
